Area Showjumping Results

Area showjumping went well for the Percy.  The junior team of Andrew Winn, Hannah Gregory and Cameron Rogerson all jumped clear in the first round and although things didn't go quite to plan in the second round they all aquitted themselves well.

The Novice team of Grace Pettifer had an unfortunate pole in the first round but jumped a great clear in the second round with some rilliant riding at the 8th fence in her second round. Harvey Coxon and Honey jumped a great clear in the first round and then had a really four faults at the last jump which was a water tray which caught a lot of riders out (I think we need to invest in a water tray), Suzanne Barwise Munro jumped a brilliant double clear on Grey Patrick and then had 4 faults in the individual jump off.  Gemma Gibson and Miss Rath were clear in the first round and then just slightly touched a pole which rolled off the cup. The team ended up on a team score of 4 and finished 10th overall which was a great effort.

The novice team of Katie Beswick, Danielle Troy and Katie Dawson all jumped well, and it was the first Area competition for Katie Beswick and Danielle.

Our individuals of Laura Logan and Charlotte Troy also did really well and enjoyed their experience.  It was alsdo Charltote and Lauras first taste of Area Novice competition.

The team competition was won by the South Duham Hunt with the Newcastle and North clinching the other qualifying place.

There were two really tough courses in the Intermedate classes but our Intermediate team of Elizabeth Pettifer, Joanna Walton, Rebecca Barwise Munro and Natalie Dawson all did very well.  The course was up to height but they all did well with only two teams in the competition jumping clear, the South Durham and the North Northumberland, with the North Northumberland clinching the one qualifying place at Championships - good luck to them at Draycott Manor.

Out intermedaite tema must have been up all night polishing their tack as they were 6th in the tack and turnout competition.  Well done.
